Never not building.

I'm a software engineer, but mostly I just like making things. Right now, I'm building MiNT Assist. Before that: an AI front desk, apps on the App Store, and a PC company I started at fifteen.

Products, apps, and companies. Some shipped, some still on the workbench. Here's what I've been making.

MiNT Assist

One app for coaches and sports families

The coach posts the schedule once. Each family's app fills in the day, the drive, the weather, and the updates. Less chasing down information before practice. I'm building the iOS app and the software behind it, with separate experiences for coaches and families.

Stranex OS

AI front desk · exterior cleaning crews

It answers the phone, books the job, texts the customer, and keeps quotes, invoices and scheduling in one place. Simple problem: a crew on a roof can't pick up, and a $1,200 job goes to voicemail. I built it as one system. Took longer.

MacroCal app

MacroCal

AI nutrition tracker · iOS

Works out your macro targets from your goals and biometrics, then uses an LLM to estimate what you actually ate. I built it because I was tired of guessing and the other apps wanted a subscription for it.

Custom Gaming Rigs

Custom PC builds · started at fifteen

I did the buying, the building, the branding, the marketing and the support, and wrote software to tune each machine before it shipped. First time I had real customers, which turned out to be a very different thing from having a good idea.

About

A little about me.

Two companies, a handful of products people actually use, and a longer list of things that didn't work the first time.

Most of what I build isn't much to look at. It picks up a phone that would have rung out, or writes a job into a calendar somebody used to type by hand. That's the part people actually feel.

I learned that the hard way running my own stuff. I'd finish something I was proud of and nothing would change. If nobody's week depends on it, it's a hobby. I still like the hobby. I just stopped mixing the two up.

I wrote my first Python at twelve. The class was taught by a guy off of MIT Sloan, and every assignment was a real business problem with real numbers. I didn't get why that mattered at the time. I do now.

First company was custom gaming PCs. I did the hardware, then wrote software to strip Windows down, then built the storefront because there was nobody else. A lot of it was breaking something and finding out why.

Right now I'm building MiNT Assist while taking classes at Central Piedmont Community College. Coaches publish once; families get the schedule, updates, and photos in one place. Same instinct, a different problem.

What I like

Making things. If I can't find it, I build it. Sometimes that's a company, sometimes it's a command line tool.

Now

Software for service businesses. Phone, schedule, record of the job. Stranex OS is that. The dashboard and the thing that answers when the crew can't. Most of it isn't pretty. Most of it is what the business actually runs on.
